Terms of Service

Terms governing use of the AssetorKit marketplace for Revit plugins, licenses, payments, and downloads.

Also see Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AssetorKit’s website, marketplace, accounts, checkout, licenses, downloads, and related services (the “Service”).

By creating an account, browsing authenticated areas, purchasing or claiming a plugin, starting a trial, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract and must use the Service only in a professional or lawful personal capacity consistent with these Terms.

If you use AssetorKit on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

3. Account registration

Certain features require an account. Authentication is provided through Clerk. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details reasonably up to date.

You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or present security or fraud risk.

4. Account security

You must protect your login credentials and any devices used to access AssetorKit or licensed plugins.

Password changes, multi-factor authentication, and session revocation are available through the security controls exposed in your account (backed by Clerk).

AssetorKit is not responsible for loss arising from unauthorized access caused by your failure to safeguard credentials or devices.

5. AssetorKit services

AssetorKit provides a marketplace where you can browse Revit plugins and related BIM assets, claim free plugins, purchase paid plugins, start limited trials where offered, manage licenses, download entitled packages, view invoices, and contact support.

Features may change as we improve the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

6. Plugin licenses

Plugins are licensed, not sold as unrestricted copies of our intellectual property. Your rights are limited to the entitlement recorded in our systems for your account.

License keys (where issued), activation limits, expiry dates, and download permissions are enforced by AssetorKit and, where applicable, by the plugin runtime.

Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, licenses are granted to the purchasing account for use consistent with these Terms and any product-specific notes on the listing page.

7. Free plugins

Some plugins are offered at no charge. Claiming a free plugin creates a lifetime entitlement for your account without issuing a commercial license key in the current product design.

Free plugins remain subject to these Terms, our intellectual property rights, and any usage limits we publish for that product.

9. One-time purchases

A one-time purchase grants a non-expiring entitlement for the purchased plugin under the plan terms shown at checkout, subject to these Terms and any later revocation for abuse, chargeback-like disputes, or material breach.

One-time purchases do not create a subscription billing relationship.

10. Subscriptions

Subscription plugins provide access for a defined period based on the selected plan (for example monthly or yearly duration configured on the plan).

When a subscription period ends, linked licenses expire and download/runtime access is denied until you renew through checkout.

You may cancel a subscription so that it ends immediately or at the end of the current period, using the cancellation options available in the product. Cancellation stops future entitlement renewals; it is not by itself an automatic monetary refund.

Automatic card or wallet recurring billing is not currently enabled. Renewal requires completing the payment flow again (manual transfer proof for paid renewals).

11. Free trials

Where offered, you may start one trial per plugin for your account.

In the current product, trial duration is three (3) days, and the trial clock starts when you first download the plugin or first use runtime activation/update flows that begin the trial—not necessarily at the moment you click start trial.

Trials are subject to activation limits. When a trial expires, access ends unless you purchase a paid entitlement.

12. License expiration and enforcement

Expired, revoked, cancelled, or suspended licenses do not permit download or licensed runtime use.

We run scheduled maintenance jobs that expire due licenses and subscriptions and may send reminder or expiry notices by email and in-app notification.

Device activation caps limit concurrent activations. Exceeding the activation limit may prevent additional devices from activating.

Website downloads for an entitled account do not currently require a prior device activation, but update tickets for installed tools may require an active activation for that machine.

13. Download and access rights

If you hold a valid entitlement, you may download the entitled plugin package through AssetorKit’s authorized download mechanism (short-lived URLs to private storage).

You may not attempt to bypass entitlement checks, scrape package storage, share authorized download URLs for others’ use, or interfere with licensing controls.

Download attempts may be logged for security and support.

14. Restrictions

Except as expressly permitted by us in writing or by mandatory law, you must not:

  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share plugin packages, license keys, or download links
  • Circumvent license, activation, or payment verification controls
  • Copy AssetorKit listings, branding, or site content for competing commercial use
  • Use the Service to upload malware, abuse APIs, or attack infrastructure
  • Misrepresent payment proof or submit fraudulent checkout information

Activation limits reduce casual license sharing but are not a guarantee against all forms of unauthorized sharing. You remain responsible for keeping keys and packages confidential.

15. Intellectual property

AssetorKit, its branding, website, and the plugins and materials we distribute are protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Your license is limited to installing and using the entitled plugin for your authorized projects according to these Terms. Ownership of the underlying software does not transfer to you.

16. User responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of plugins complies with Autodesk and other third-party terms that apply to your Revit environment, and for validating plugins on non-production projects when appropriate.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit (including payment proof) and for maintaining compatible software environments.

17. Payments

Paid checkout currently accepts manual payment proof for InstaPay and Vodafone Cash. You pay the stated amount using the destination details we display, then submit the required username/phone proof and screenshot.

Paid invoices remain pending until an AssetorKit operator approves or rejects them. Approval grants the corresponding license entitlement. Rejection does not grant access.

AssetorKit does not currently process card payments through Stripe, PayPal, Paddle, or similar processors in the live checkout. Do not assume those methods are available unless we explicitly enable them in the product.

Zero-total checkouts (free catalog items claimed through free checkout, or coupons that reduce the total to zero) may be approved automatically without transfer proof.

18. Coupons and promotions

Coupons are validated and applied by our servers. Eligibility, limits, and discount amounts are determined server-side.

Unless we expressly state otherwise for a specific promotion, coupons apply to the initial qualifying checkout and are not re-applied to later subscription renewals.

We may invalidate abusive, expired, or ineligible coupon use.

19. Refunds and cancellations

Because live paid checkout uses manual transfers you initiate outside AssetorKit, please verify plugin compatibility and listing details carefully before paying.

Current application behavior:

  • There is no general self-service refund button for approved purchases.
  • Pending invoices may be rejected by operators; rejection does not grant a license.
  • Customers cannot currently cancel a pending invoice through a dedicated self-service cancel action in the product.
  • Subscription cancellation manages future access/renewal; it does not automatically reverse a completed manual transfer.
  • If AssetorKit discontinues a plugin that you subscribe to, our systems may notify you and record an operational note that a refund should be processed within seven (7) days. That discontinuance path is a specific operational commitment communicated in product messaging; it is not a broad “change of mind” refund policy for all purchases.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund because of a duplicate payment, operator error, or discontinuance notice, contact support@assetorkit.com with your account email and invoice details. Refunds of manual transfers, when issued, are handled operationally outside automated card rails.

This section is intended to reflect the product as implemented. Broader consumer-law rights that cannot be waived in your jurisdiction still apply to the extent required by law.

20. Service availability

We aim to keep AssetorKit available, but hosting, third-party outages, maintenance, and force majeure events may cause downtime or degraded performance.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice when reasonably necessary for security, legal, or operational reasons.

21. Updates and modifications to plugins

We may publish plugin updates. Entitled users may receive update notices. Continued use of outdated versions is at your own risk.

We do not guarantee that every plugin will remain available indefinitely or remain compatible with every future Revit release.

22. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties including Clerk (authentication), cloud hosting, object storage, email delivery, analytics (browser-side, running without a consent step while the cookie banner is switched off), and error monitoring. Their availability and policies can affect your experience.

Payment apps you use to send InstaPay or Vodafone Cash transfers are third-party services outside AssetorKit’s control.

23. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access, revoke licenses, or refuse service if you materially breach these Terms, submit fraudulent payment proof, abuse trials or coupons, attack the Service, or create undue risk for AssetorKit or other users.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Account deletion requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy because fully automated self-service deletion is not currently available.

Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, restrictions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) survive termination.

24. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE AND PLUGINS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that plugins will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every project. You are responsible for testing and professional judgment in production BIM environments.

25. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASSETORKIT AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE OR PLUGINS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO ASSETORKIT FOR THE SPECIFIC PLUGIN ENTITLEMENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

26. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where mandatory law requires a different process.

27. Governing law

These Terms govern your use of the AssetorKit service. AssetorKit does not currently designate a specific governing law or exclusive court venue on this page.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer or other rights that cannot be waived under the laws that apply to you.
